Last day in Washington

My last day in Washington was again fun and busy. It all started with the 4 of us getting up at 9:00 a.m. We finished packing, and we got some Starbucks. After we were ready we took a taxi to the Holocaust museum. It was incredible! But at the same time it was very heart-breaking to see all that happened during the Holocaust. We spent a lot of time at the museum so we could really see everything that happened. After we were done at the museum, we went to have a great lunch at Teaism, where my Aunt Debbie met us, she lives in D.C. We all had a delicious lunch at Teasim and we bought some tea to go also. After lunch we walked to the National Gallery of Art and walked around till they closed. Our flight was supposed to leave at 8:00 p.m. but we decided to check our flight status, and turned out our fight was delayed until 10:10 p.m. so we said," hey why don't we go and take the subway down to Union station. So we jumped the Metro (and we got there by way of my directions I may add.) When we were walking up the steps from the subway we got a call from the great Al Gibes who was interviewing me for his newspaper column in the Las Vegas Review Journal. We talked to him for about a half of an hour. During that time Savannah got a text message from the airlines saying that our flight was not delayed anymore it was actually scheduled to be at 9:40 instead of 10:10. At this time when we were talking to Mr. Gibes, it was 8:00p.m. We were shocked because we had an hour and forty minutes to get to our flight and we still had to get back to the hotel and get our luggage. We jumped in a cab and went to the hotel and grabbed our bags and threw them in the trunk of the cab, although we couldn't close the trunk because we had 12 suitcases between the 4 of us, we were quite a site drivign down Pennsalvania Ave. as we told the cab driver to drive as fast as he could!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We flew in the cab to the airport and ran to check our bags in. After we were done checking our bags, we went to the security check-in and when we were walking through secruity check, I found workman's booty's in a bucket and they were there so you wouldn't get your feet dirty when you were walking past the securitywithout your shoes on. (What a great idea, I know.) So we put them on and walked through. After we were all settled we got a bite to eat at this Mexican restaurant. And we were finally set and ready to go, and we soon got on the plane. We giggled, laughed, and ate the choclate cookies the size of the moon that my mom bought us earlier. We laughed some more and listened to our ipods, till we fell asleep, and didn't wake up till we got to Las Vegas. Again we were quite a sight after we got all of our luggage off the carasoul, and headed through the airport to our car. (Remember 12 bags)??? This was the end of a great and most memorable vacation.....................
I will keep a follow up of different things that happen like interviews and more........
